Gopaul and Company Limited (GCL) is a wholly owned local company, located at Lot 7, 8 and 9 Fredrick Settlement, Caroni, Trinidad. Established in 1973 by Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Gopaul the Company has its genesis in agricultural products, having its roots in Coconut Oil and Honey under the Eastern Brand Label. However, today the company markets a much wider and diverse range of manufactured products both locally and regionally.
Gopaul and Company Limited (GCL) has grown to include three standalone divisions; Oils & Foods, Trucking & Distribution, Sugar and Frozen & Chilled Products. At present, GCL employs over 300 people and operates solely through business representatives in both the Caribbean and South America, where our brands continue to hold a strong market share.
Gopaul and Company Limited (GCL) continued growth and success is driven by our management and their commitment to get results the right way - by operating responsibly, executing with excellence, applying innovative technologies and capturing new opportunities for profitable growth. As we move forward GCL’S Board of Directors will continue to direct the affairs of the company while being committed to sound principles of corporate governance. In addition we will continue to embrace and seek the admiration of all our stakeholders not only for the goals that have been achieved but the manner in which we achieve these goals.
